Kitchen supervisor is one of the WORST supervisors I've ever had the displeasure of working with. He only works hard if corporate is around. He has received MULTIPLE write-ups but because of his connections they always get removed from his record. Does nothing but bring down the morale of the team. None of the cooks have any respect for him. This man has been in kitchens for most of his life and still gets out cooked by team members with less experience but still acts like he's the best ever.

Must be nice to have job security by virtue of being friendly with management. I swear this type exists in every restaurant job. Our hostess is one of the laziest, most incompetent people I've ever met, but she's dating the owner's son, so she can pretty much get away with murder.

I work as an AGM in a busy restaurant. Been working there for just over a year, and haven't had a single raise. I now only make 0.50 cents more than even the lowest paid shift lead but I am doing a lot more work. I'm no longer satisfied with these conditions. Check the overtime laws for your state!!

I just recently worked 58.6 hours in a week, weekly pay, nice OT profit right? Depends on where you live.

In Iowa, there is no Overtime pay mandate, the overtime pay is at the discretion of the business. I received 58.6 hours of base pay for the week.

If the company makes less than $1 million per year or does not engage in intercontinental sales, the company is not required to pay the overtime rate of time and a half, just your base rate.
