Hi Fishes, I have received an offer from Barclays for AVP position. But the role discussed during interview was for Tech Delivery Manager whereas the offer letter mentions it as Tech Delivery Lead. Can you guys please suggest if it is the same role or should I request recruiter to get the role updated? Moreover it would be great if any of you can shed some light on the prospects/challenges of this role based on your experiences. Barclays Barclays global service center

2 steps down. Director -> Managing Director -> Partner
Pro
D is indeed one step from partner. And I think all partners are equity at K, so it’s kind of like junior partner I guess.
Itll be a tough slog coming in from industry.. (been there)
Edit: Correction based on above comment.. maybe not. At least where I am from it’s that way anyway
Might be country dependent, but in US Director is 100% 2 steps from partner with MD (non-equity) the step in between
Director has a wide pay band, so comp will largely be dependent on your experience. $200K - $350k would be my guess but it varies a lot in that group.
Don’t you all have a kpmg bowl?
Ahhhh. My bad. I misread that. I thought they were kpmg.
I think Director is 200s range. Upper 200-300 is MD. And yes, Director is 2 steps down with MD in between. Now keep in mind that in order for you to become MD is key to how much $$ / clients you could bring to your team so it's not that easy unless of course you have the connections.
