I think unhappy customers is probably the most common I’ve been trained to handle. Drowning them in hospitality and be very accommodating. You’d be surprised how much deescalation is needed sometimes
I've gotten really good at handling very angry people who blame me for things that I never had anything to do with. Getting yelled at by customers has become my new normal and I don't even bat an eye anymore. It shouldn't be that way, but here we are.
My job has definitely trained me to handle chaos as if it’s normal. The things I’ve seen in my store really prepare you for just about anything life throws your way. Part of me sometimes wonders if I should have gone into luxury retail—I doubt they deal with quite the same level of chaos, lol.
