Lack of career development is the one that stands out to me...I think that's a trend we're noticing too but I'm genuinely trying to figure out ways to make that pathway more clear/accessible
The first one is definitely relatable! I have learned to ask more questions about career advancement opportunities in interviews now because of dead-end opportunities or managers not knowing how to initiate the conversation about career advancement.
The lack of flexibility is going to keep growing. Upper management needs to adapt to new generations and adapt to changes. They can't expect people in their early career years to behave the same way as they did if salaries haven't kept up with inflation!
Interesting. I'm actually kind of surprised that 'lack of workplace flexibility' is so low on the list - especially given the shift to WFH during the pandemic. Seems folks on this platform value the option to work remotely over comp and other perks.
I agree with the first two. I know these reasons are at the top of the list. In my experience, it has always been the lack of career improvement.
That depends on what the person is looking for. Others would quit because there is no WLB even if the compensation and the benefits are really good. Others quit even if the pay is good and WLB is great because the management doesn't care about their employees or there is no career advancement.
Lack of career advancement is why I am leaving my current company and inadequate compensation is a popular reason for others that I work with. I’m surprised that flexible work options is higher as well.
