Last week at work, I tried helping a new driver who claimed his GPS “spoke in riddles.” Turns out, he’d set it to *Scottish poet mode*—so instead of “turn left,” it said, “veer ye toward the misty moor.” He somehow ended up at a golf course instead of the warehouse. When I asked how he didn’t notice, he said, “The vibe felt right.” Honestly, would you trust a GPS that sounds like it’s about to recite Shakespeare or lead you into a forest?

Back when I was getting started in the food world, I worked flipping burgers at In-n-Out. A man came in and said the burgers he had gotten weren’t right. He dumped the food on the counter and then he started throwing them back behind the counter. We gave him a refund and then his demeanor completely changed. He was calmer and he told us to have a great day as he left us to clean up the mess he made.

At a different job I had a customer trying to swindle me in telling me that there was a deal in an item that never had a deal or promotion for sale so he made me scan the item 20 times before believing me. Obviously, he finally let it go but I scan it with an inventory scanner that showed me all of the sale price promotions if there were any

Once when I was waiting tables, I had a guy pay me cash. The change was 45 cents, which I didn't give back to him because like who wants that. He then asked where the change was, and when I explained that I didn't give back the loose change, he made a big stink about how dollars and cents matter and didn't leave me a tip. He was a republican staffer on capitol hill.
