You’ve been watching too much suits
Bracewell?
Most big law litigators aren’t really trial lawyers—boutiques go to trial far more often.
Agreed, but some firms have a more active trial practice.
K&E Lit in Texas isn’t fratty. Can’t speak for other office. They go to trial a lot. Both state and federal court.
All three, although I think Austin does mostly IP lit as opposed to Houston and Dallas which are commercial lit and white collar.

Akin. Not fratty at all IMO—just a bunch of humble folks who are good litigators.
Foley Houston doesn’t seem fratty based on my exp being across from them. Pretty normal.
I’ve heard Bracewell, BB, and V&E are—and would assume it true based on the associates I personally know there.
I think you’re looking for a place like Yetter. They’re extremely academic and close knit—also humble. Good trial lawyers. Gibbs also seems similar. Boutiques.
Gibbs won’t hire laterals. Happens once a decade.

O’Melveny is not Fratty. More nerdy/academic. Holland & Knight depends on the office. The Baker Botts attorneys ive worked with in IP lit were way more nerdy than fratty, but that might just be IP lit
AZA, Yetter
GDC ( very academic)
I hate them with a passion but the Dallas office of Foley is a bunch of trial lawyers with a bit of a fratty attitude.
And they weren’t shady (more than any other big law firm) from what I saw. No frivolous claims or positions from what I remember
