You’re going to LOVE it! It’s a flavorful, vibrant, heavily Latin infused city- full of activity and action, but with the relaxed vibes of the beach and Caribbean. Spend some time on YouTube and TikTok looking at Miami content, it’s pretty spot on! Welcome and good luck.
/s and well done
Happy to answer any questions. I feel like my advice to you is know yourself and your values. You can get carried away, waste a lot of money. I am not saying don’t go out, go out, but have a more balanced life
Pros: weather, food (central and South American), growth of the city, lot more opportunities, entrepreneurial, fitness, and you can meet a lot of cool fun people, no taxes
Cons: a little superficial some places
It’s tough to make friends, but worth it to live here regardless!
It’s going to be fun and an adjustment.
Most of the answers will depend on where you live, work, and spend time.
Demo skews heavily Latino. Less on the Beach, more out west. The recent influx in people has, I think, brought more opportunity to connect with folks. Locals by and large though are pretty insular.
Probably the least “friendly” city in the US, again though depends on neighborhood.
Some additional info on where you’ll generally be living/working would help clarify.
I spent 3 years in Philly. Hmu when you’re here. I miss that place.
