Leaving KPMG after 10-11 months. Will I have to pay back Becker & do I get to keep it? If anyone knows would be greatly appreciated. PML said that he does not know and isn’t being helpful in the process

If they are giving you the boot, then you don’t need to pay back. If you resigned after just 10 months of working at KPMG then you do need to payback.

They gave me option of PIP or leave. So I am leaving

What is your contract saying?

Whatever contract you first signed when you started to work. READ THEM

The rules may have changed but about 5 years ago the rule was you had to stay a certain number of years to keep the reimbursement for Becker materials. I would assume you have to pay it back but can keep the materials. You should contact HR to confirm

I feel left out in my firm. How do I make 'friends' with my colleagues? I've been here for a year. I am naturally not a very out going person, was never 'cool' and I struggle to speak in group situations / make engaging conversation with higher ups. It is an important trait to have in this job and I just don't know how to do this. It makes me very upset - I even sought therapy but wasn't useful. I can't spend 14 hours each day feeling like this:(

California peeps. I have a feeling I failed FAR, which is my last exam, but my score isn’t released until May 11. Can I submit the reapplication with the CA Board of Accountancy to speed up the retake and NTS process in case I failed? Or do I need to get my exam score first? I need to pass by mid June, else my REG score expires, hence the rush to resubmit the re-application.
