Let go for performance from a job that did not provide formal training a week before one year anniversary. They were aware that I did not have any experience in the role. They have done this to many others. I saw it coming and applied for countless jobs over the last seven months. How can I recover from this? I was with my prior company for 25 years. Would it look better to employers to say I was caring for relatives and remove this job from my resume? In deep despair...never fired before.

I am an IT architect with 10 years of experience specifically in Salesforce products. I am thinking of moving from a strategy consulting role to an architecture role in Salesforce (company) itself. I have experience building tech strategies and also technical project delivery.
