Lmao wtf kind of PhD are you doing that you want to keep doing it longer. At the very least graduate and work in the same lab short term at double the pay
Ok but I need to have a job after I graduate. So that extra semester is there for just in case I need more time. I am trying to push to graduate in time and find the job of course.
Rising Star
Yeah, push it back. This recession and hitting freeze is gonna hurt Dec 22 and May 22 graduates.

BAH1, do you guys hire international students? Whenever I see thr job description, it requires security clear
Cont...I can get a technical job related to my field. But, I am only looking to push in case I get some positive response from consulting firms. My 70% focus is on graduating on time and getting a job and transitioning into consulting asap. But, my question is if I get any random job, would that impact my chances of consulting in the future? Should I focus on big brands like biopharma companies like Merck, GSK, AbbVie etc..?
Try applying right now. There’s big firms like Jacobs engineering that’s hire chemists or even county’s that will hire new chem PhDs. It sounds like you want a good job though and pushing a job back further makes things worse. Just apply see what you get look for the best option. If it doesn’t work out look for a job in a different field if possible.
