When did you know your firm wasn't right for you? I'm not sure if it's just the stress of being a new attorney with a family or if my job isn't the right fit. I work in civil litigation and am consistently below my billables. I can't stay late because my kids need me and I can't work on the weekends because I have to maintain my house and take care of my kids. I'm being constantly told to work harder, stay later, etc but it's not practical. Or am I not approaching this with the right mindset?

I love what I do and I have an offer to stay in International Development and be a manager with 86k, focusing on my technical area + lots of travel. Just started a new Data Analyst position in which I have constant meetings with senior leadership and executives. I have a bad habit of giving too much background info and not getting straight to the point. I just feel like every little detail is important (even though that’s not always the case). Any tips for breaking this habit or just become more efficient with advising?

Is there a corporate way to bring up to senior leaders that an IC is causing issues across multiple teams because they are demanding and also doesn’t collaborate well? The IC gives vague “direction” then says they are too busy to clarify. They also refuse to use our project management/ collaboration tools.
