Really learn your business and if there’s anything you learn that needs to be addressed in BAU process, bring that to the attention of your manager and show how you can help address the issues
Talk to people, and learn. Figure out the company's pain points. Then find solutions. Also, be responsive and communicative. The thing I'm most complimented on in-house is that I take issues up quickly and make them feel prioritized (rather than just sitting on it for 2 weeks without acknowledging them before I even get around to it).
In a new industry, you should learn everything you can about the industry. Find new opportunities to expand into areas not served by anyone yet, and learn the risks that should be anticipated.
Be sure you invite your blue collar colleagues to lunch with you. They see a lot of problems before the customer complains. Build good relationships so they won't fear telling you bad news while there is still time to defuse a situation.
