Currently doing a ton of extra work for no pay increase and now they’re messing with my schedule because they see me as the one that can do it all. Ready for new job come Jan! Does anyone have any recs for NY RN positions? My experience: trained an entire house call team, set up 5 clinics (supplies & meds), go-to person/leader (but without title/promotion), orientation person/made the program, urgent care exp x2yr, OR exp x1yr, step down x1yr. Licenses in NY, PA, CT, NJ; cert: BLS, ACLS, PALS.

This def seems to be the trend. If you do your job well, you get rewarded with more work. Meanwhile the ones who don’t do the work get away with it.

What matters more early in your career, agency name recognition or project experience?

My old employer asked me if I wanted to come back to the company as a manager. The pay will likely be much better and the position holds more responsibility than I’ve had before, so overall it would be a step up. The issue is I left the company because of an abusive manager who constantly put me down and made me feel like I wasn’t doing anything right. If I come back I’d be working under her again. I’m torn because the opportunity is great but the stress was awful. Continued in comments…

I’m hoping someone might have some ideas about this- I’m currently five years out of law school with a clerkship, a tax LLM, 3 years of experience doing transactional tax work and a few months of EC/VC experience (which I recently switched to from tax). I like the EC/VC work, but I don’t know how long I want to stay in biglaw. Can anyone weigh in on how employers for in-house roles might look at my experience in a year or two?
