Left as acting PL....so as a C?
Act McKinsey we have a thing called “left as an undesignated engagement manager”, now I know the equivalent phrase for BCG
Coach
If you want comp / reasonable growth, id recommend big tech - for the four kinds of typical tech exits (strategy , bizops, sales / BD, external consulting in cloud) you can easily target 230 to 270k . Most of my tenured associate friends at McKinsey are leaving for tech at those numbers. If you want to do product Mgmt. the pay can easily go to 350k but it’s more of a long shot. An intermediate solution could be commercial PM at amazon and they will pay you between 230 to 260k based on location.
I think you left way too soon if you wanted to optimize those two thigns
I don’t think you understand my point, chief. To optimize those things the OP describes, you can do it faster (total comp and level as a proxy for growth) in two steps rather than three.
Not trying to be rude, did you take a comp hit to exit? I’m a C and at the same salary band, roughly, depending on bonus
Usually you do for a better chiller life for less hrs. lol
Could just jump industries? I’m 30, left Tier 2 as an SC a year ago and am at $220 TC doing Strat / M&A in Financial Services
Your title said VP so I was curious
