Looking to transition out of Management Consulting and going into big tech in NYC. Ideally, I would love to go in as a PMM; however I’ve heard it’s very difficult to make that jump if you don’t have a degree in engineering or CS (I’m a liberal arts graduate and in the final year of a part-time mba). Left McKinsey for a Fintech corporate last year. Really disappointed to see bonuses given out (cash is equivalent to half month salary, equity vested over 5 yes also not great) after getting the 5/5 rating and business doing well overall.
