Looking into industry tax manager openings. Going to have an interview coming up for a tax manager and expecting a mix of technical and behavioral questions. What kind of technical questions were you asked before?

For those of you who left consulting for a corporate industry role, do you forsee yourself returning to consulting life? Or do you make jumps within the industry after a few years?

Would "odd" programming experience be considered against the AWS higher level cert requirements? Never officially been a Dev at any of my positions, but did a lot of smaller, "homegrown" projects at each, i.e. python scripts to automate certain processes.

Thinking about a pivot to AWS tech, getting the certs, just didn't want to be 'stuck' not being able to qualify for the higher level ones.

For B4 - For teams with temp (contractor) seniors - I’ve noted that they are held to the same work quality standards of normal full time seniors, while not getting any of the senior trainings or perks that would go with that perm role (just some basic survivals trainings at best), nor the access to the perm positions once they prove they can do the job. Then heard they are viewed as little higher than outsource teams (i.e., the offshore teams only given non-judgmental work). What’s your opinion?

Just started a new job less than a month ago in the tech sector. It was the industry I was fixated on when leaving for. However I realise that I don't think I can cope with the fast paced, lack of wlb, with no support - it's really impacting my mental health already....

I try to hide it from my boyfriend, but its impact is flowing into my personal life.
I feel like a failure, but recognise it might be beneficial to cut loss and quit. Has anyone been in this situation?

There is an opportunity that I’m currently interviewing for that is very interesting to me. I’m interviewing two other places but I’m not responding to LinkedIn emails for other positions. Looking for advice. Based in the Bay Area and have 3.5 yr exp in IT Audit mostly SOX with a little SOC exp (ex big 4, couple of regionals) and have been applying to industry (mostly tech companies) since May. made it to final interviews only to find out hiring freezes were in effect or they went with a LCOL candidate.Would like to exit to a GRC role or a mixed role thats 50% sox, 50% varied projects, or a SOX role if the team culture is good. No luck getting in non sox work at current firm.

What is IT Due Dilligence? Is it more IT Audit? Better? Worse?

Anyone feel like it is hard to articulate how your PA experience is applicable for industry ? Had an interview with a company recruiter who wasn’t very familiar with auditing... then felt I had to explain what it was I did day to day and ended up down a rabbit hole.

Has anyone jumped from audit in Canada/US to the UAE recently? I was chatting with a mentor and they said, you get paid significantly more, and you aren’t taxed. Checked online, the salaries are probably 20% higher - not worth the move IMO… Anyone make this move and can share their experience?

What's the process for leaving the firm? Is there a formal process that I have to go through or do I just tell my PML that I took another opportunity and I'm out in 2 weeks?
