Looking to pick up a new hobby that may/may not relate to work. What has been the hobby that you have picked up that has led you to getting either a better role or a huge advantage during review/hiring decisions? I was thinking of cooking but with the amount of travel I do I’m not sure it is worth getting into it.

Using the extra time to secretly do more work has always worked best for the goals you seek.

If you’ve got any lmk :)

I’m confused. You’re asking about hobbies that can lead to a better role (which IMO shouldn’t be the basis of a hobby, sounds more like professional development); then suggest cooking as something that fits that profile. How does cooking help in that regard? Or am I missing something?

Sorry

Working with headhunters that specialize in consulting outplacement: how do THEIR incentives work?

Like, I assume that they are paid based on the level of the candidate that they bring in, but how are their incentives ALIGNED? If you as the candidate get a higher comp package, do they get a higher placement fee? Or is it in their best interest to keep your comp within (i.e., below) a certain range?
