Looking to switch jobs after tax season. At a smaller local firm, in my third tax season making $74,000 in a MCOL area. Have 4 years bookkeeping experience before that and was in a different line of work before that. I want to stay in tax to develop more of an expertise and increase my salary, also want balance for a young family. There is a top 100 firm in my area that has better pay, and emphasizes being flexible and being open to reduced work in off season. What are your recommendations?
