I have a background in finance and 6+ YOE of professional work experience, I had to leave CA in between due to family emergency and started working (although only 1 group of CA final is left, 1 is cleared already), so can anyone provide an insight if being CA qualified is a mandatory requirement in EY and EY GDS in position of Manager in Accounting, auditing,FAAS,AWM teams etc

When I got the RTO mandate I thought it would be a horrible experience. In reality it was no big deal. I mean, I'd always worked in offices until a few years prior, so it wasn't like a huge shock to my system. And to be honest, I like some of the office camaraderie. I could do without the commuting, but, again, it's just the way I always operated anyway. I can't get too dramatic about it.

That’s a great perspective. Once the initial resistance fades, some of those in-person moments can actually feel grounding again. I like what you said about camaraderie — it’s underrated how much that can help with motivation.
Establishing a routine and sticking to it. I used to be able to take care of chores and even work out during the day when I was WFH. That isn't the case now, and it took me some time figuring out how to juggle all my responsibilities. I hated being back in the office until I got that part figured out. Now it's not so bad because I know when I get home, I can pretty much coast - there isn't a crazy to-do list waiting for me.

So true — the time trade-offs are the hardest part. I found I had to front-load a lot of my personal to-dos during the week (like laundry or workouts) until I got into a groove. Once you find that rhythm, it feels less like losing freedom and more like rebalancing it.

Totally get this — after years of remote life, the idea of going back to an office routine feels like a major shift. What helped me most was reframing it as a chance to add more social structure to my week. Treating it like a few “anchor days” instead of a full lifestyle overhaul made it easier to adjust.
