Managing multiple accounts has been overwhelming lately. I’m currently handling 12 clients, each with their own deadlines, requests, and quirks. I’ve tried using Asana for task tracking and Google Calendar to block out time for specific projects, but I still feel like I’m barely keeping up—especially when last-minute client requests throw off my whole day. Just last week, I missed a follow-up email for a key account because I was buried in another client’s campaign review. Has anyone else felt like this? How do you juggle all the moving pieces and stay on top of everything without burning out?

What you’re describing is when something is broken systemically. You should not have 12 clients.

Get promoted to account Director? You also shouldn’t be on 12 clients.

Get promoted to GAD? You guessed it. You also shouldn’t be on 12 clients.

There’s a macro-trend of cost cutting that’s going to truly break this industry, but it also sounds like you have an agency mismanagement problem.

12 clients is crazy and just not physically possible to do well, even if you work 24 hours a day. Also, I’m sure your clients have no idea that you’re working with 11 other clients. Your leadership don’t know what they’re doing and I would try and get out of there asap.

I feel like since the industry moved away from blended rates and to rate cards it’s been too too heavy also. It used to be branches up to leads, now it’s just a team of 3 across multiple accounts

I agree with everyone above, that is way too much for any one person to manage and is irresponsible of them to put all that on you. I would be looking for a new role if I were in your shoes.

Looking for regulatory and statistical reporting roles within Pune.

Networking question here. A retired partner at the firm I used to work out reached out to me recently about attending an afternoon during the week (b4 4/30) with one of his long time clients. The partner and I have kept in touch since I joined my new firm and I feel like his invitation is a great networking opportunity since the client (who I have worked with before) is on a number of boards. Torn as how to request off as an S3. Could materialize to nothing but could be good for reconnecting.

Right so here’s a bit of a dilemma I work to a much higher standard at home and it’s this high standard that means I’m in line for a promotion. I’ve grown so much and I feel really strong in my role I’m also busier than ever. The problem is we’re going back into the office and I don’t want to go in if it’s just going to be senior management in asking me to get them lunches for client meetings or fetch a glass of water and cutlery for meeting rooms. Definitely not ready to go back to that….

Hi everyone,

I'm going for a role for Account Director and have gone through the interviews with the head of accounts, BD as well as the ECD's. I received the following email at the end of the day:

"You are one of two candidates in the final round.

One thing we haven’t spoken about are your salary expectations. Could you have a think and let me know early next week as well as your employment status (residency permit)."

What would be the best way to answer this response? Appreciate the help
