Hi Fishes,
I recently got an offer for Cyber security advisory at PwC India . They gave a 20% hike on the current amount. Thing is that l, the technical interview told me that it is not a software/coding type of position and asked me multiple times if I was interested to do that. Is that a red flag?

Hey Folks. I hope I am posting in the right space about this. Anyone knows the updated(2022) compensation range for QA Automation Engineers with 2 years experience?
A general range at Glassdoor has an average base pay at 110K/year shorturl.at/dhuIZ and I am looking for more sources. Cheers

My agency slaps VP in front of Director all the time and it seems to mean nothing
Yes it's so you are on the hook for VP level work at an ACD salary 🙄
Had a job where the acd wouldn’t pay to park in the company lot because it was too expensive. We were running late to drive to a client mtg and the boss found out we had to run two blocks away to get the car. They gifted him a VP title immediately after so he could park at the agency for free and we’d have another guaranteed car on hand to get to client mtgs. So there’s that.
Sometimes it means you qualify for a bonus. At the Groupe it does anyway.
I saw a senior creative director from DDB and a VP Creative Director. I think they don’t know what that means.
This thread just makes me annoyed. Even job titles in adland are elaborate and unnecessary workarounds to simple and direct solutions. FFS
Never mind the VP, what the heck does “Creative Associate Director” mean?
BBDO does this as well. It’s a way to offer profit sharing / bonus. Not sure for every place
That’s how it’s been explained to me.
From what I've seen, a lot of advertising agencies use the term VP for a lot of folks who are client-facing, so that clients feel like they are contacted by or working with someone at a higher level. However, if you translate it to someone working at a large Fortune 500 company, they are probably at the Associate Director level and are getting paid about that level. I've also seen it for smaller company business development positions for the same reason, so when they reach out through email or a cold call, the (potential) client thinks they are dealing with someone important.
VP is a "rationale" for agencies when they need to hand out perks beyond your pay grade, or to even justify a salary above your pay grade. I've also noticed health care agencies have more VPs, might just be to match client counterparts.
