MBA graduate in Marketing. Changed companies very frequently but stayed at Oyo for almost 2years as Zonal manager until the lay off. After ~1year of trying during covid, got a job as Client Advisor in NoBroker. It has been 5months but the pressure is high. Now wants to work in IT. Any advice how one should proceed? Which certification will help and where to get it?

Before LinkedIn...to me, the king of professional cringey was Shingy. Do you guys remember him? He was aol's overpaid "digital prophet" and got paid to visit companies at lunchtime and babble the same kind of nonsense we now call "LinkedIn cringe".

Does anyone freeze with deadlines, and if so what works for you? Whenever I have a deadline my brain freezes and refuses to work. It used to be that my brain worked overtime right before a deadline - now it refuses to work until after a deadline. I think this is because all of my deadlines are internal and I’ve never had a partner look at anything immediately after a deadline. This is affecting my work obviously - any tips would be useful and appreciated!

I was hired to manage the maintenance program, only to get here and physically do the work. 2 years later and being on-call daily but still expected to burn both ends of the candle and it does seem good enough for the corporate leadership. Collapsed this past Thursday at work and rushed off to the hospital only to find out that it was a stress induced panic attack. I’m up for a promotion at work and I have no idea how much to ask for since it’s not a standard position. Currently I’m a team lead and manage about 8 technicians, my promotion will be to a regional service delivery manager, and I will be managing over 30 in 3 locations. I went from a tier 1 engineer in managed servers to team lead with about a 10k increase in salary.I’m thinking about a 15k increase this time from 65k to 80k. Anybody in managed services have a similar position to compare

I had an interview yesterday for an AM position for a start up. The salary is 30k more than what I’m making now and it seems like the culture is much better than my current company. I prepped for days… I bombed it. The interviewer repeated two questions because I wasn’t answering them in a way they wanted. Can I just say that was a humbling experience🙃

Hi all- I’m a first year staff who works in Forensic accounting & compliance. I am almost at 1 year in PA, & have come to terms that this career is not for me. I’m currently a Grade 11 at Cisco. With the recent pay structure changes my annual comp will be $150k + 12% bonus. I live in a large metro area in the middle of the US. I’m looking to move around the company so that I can make commission but I don’t want to be an account manager. Can anyone tell me if there are Customer Success Managers, etc positions that manage customers post sale and have a similar range base as me with commission plans? I’m just trying to understand income potential.
