I think points will become more valuable because the coming recession will bump a lot of people out of the game.
I have quite a few. About half are min 1c value credit card company points (mostly UR) and I'm just leaving those in hopes of getting better value when I can start traveling again.
About 1/4 of them are SW and Delta miles. I think those are fine too or will face a small but inconsequential devaluation.
The rest are hotel points and I think those will be devalued significantly (>25%) before I can use them up. That being said, I don't think there is a way to call them out at anywhere near value so no plans other than to use them eventually. I might book something way out at current values and then revisit as we get closer to that time as hotels are easier to cancel than flights.
Sad thing is our youngest child is finally old enough to travel so we had multiple trips planned this year but I don't think any will end up happening.

Curious to why you think points will be devalued for hotels? If anything, I believe they will become more valuable.. Marriott should revert the changes made a few months ago to get people in their doors, using room service, drinking at the hotel bar, etc.
Hotel points are a giant liability sitting on their balance sheet. If they can devalue they can reduce this liability and book a gain.
Also team Earn & Burn, but not sending my balances anywhere. We aren't going to see catastrophic de-valuation. If anything, devaluation will slow down in the near future because the vast majority of people will be afraid and/or unable to travel anytime soon. Also, I can't wait to reschedule all the vacations I've had to cancel.
How do you move Marriott points to Amex?
Sorry, was a hypothetical.
You’re best off keeping points in credit card programs to maintain option value. Otherwise, I’d leave points where they are. Use them if they make sense (there’s loads of low-cost, long-haul award availability right now, even a year out and in premium cabins), but otherwise I wouldn’t worry about it. Miles obligations haven’t been discharged in previous US airline bankruptcies (including when AA bought the assets of TWA), as creditors/purchasers recognize that pissing off the bankrupt companies customers is a sure-fire way to ensure the company doesn’t emerge from bankruptcy.
