Good resource... I do wish the author and many others would stop promoting the idea that students are now being homeschooled by their parents. I think this is a disservice to teachers and students... and just isn't true.

I've been out of work for about a year due to complications from Covid. Finally back on my feet but I'm wondering if I should be honest about why I was gone, or will that be a red flag for future employers?

No unemployment checks for health workers who refuse vaccine

There will be no state unemployment benefits for health care workers who are fired for refusing to get employer-mandated vaccinations against COVID-19, state officials said Thursday.

Already, a small number of workers have quit rather than be fully vaccinated ahead of the deadline at month’s end.

Anyone here returned back to the office? My company’s (industry) making everyone come back in and my team is doing hybrid. 2 days wfh and 3 days in person. I’m supposed to start going in next week. I started this job during the pandemic so a part of me is excited to meet people in real life and see the cool office but a part of me is fearful of covid still and the delta variant even though I’m fully vaxxed. Tips for calming these worries? Those that have returned, what has your experience been?

Happy July 4th everyone! Am 35 M and feel so lonely this weekend. Have been holed up and just can’t stop crying last few days. I’ve gotten so deep into work all these years that I did not prioritize relationships and feel the immense pain now. I enjoy work but have become such a workaholic that I can’t seem to get out of it. Any suggestions or help please? Another holiday alone will be too much to bear. These covid months have really put me in depression.

Anyone hear anything about COVID spikes for the summer? It's a bit confusing to be honest, hearing conflicting insights

Roommate and I negotiated a 2-year lease at only 5% rent increase from a covid apartment deal. This place was undervalued last fall too when a wave of people moved to the city. Could have easily fetched +10% but the management office liked us for consistently paying our rent on time. There’s still hope out there for anyone willing to resign for more than 1 year.

I have a “change of status” application awaiting endorsement at the State Department. It’s been pending for over 5 weeks now for what should ordinarily take no more than 2 weeks max. Hi all,
I graduated during Covid with a double major in business administration and business management with a minor in marketing and magically ended up in sales because I needed a job. I’m about to take a data analytics course to make an attempt to break into that field. I’m currently looking for a mentor to help guide me during this time. Also, if anyone is willing to look over my resume and give me tips on how to make it more presentable for recruiters in DA that would be very helpful. Thanks

Fox Rothschild, litigation, Delaware, mid level

Considering a move from a larger BigLaw firm to Fox Rothschild, primarily to work on matters I’m more interested in, but hopefully to also have a slightly better work life balance. I know it would be a pay cut though, and their various covid cuts have me concerned as well.

Any insight from current or former associates? What is firm culture like? Is work life balance decent enough to justify a lower salary?

Hi Everyone, I’m currently actively interviewing/searching for CoS positions and encountered a situation that requires finessing. When COVID lockdown started I took a job that was entry level & was underemployed bc at the time I wanted to prevent professional atrophy while I waited to see how things would play out. Now, it appears as though I’m being passed over by recruiters bc my last position does not reflect the 10+yrs of senior administrative management experience I have. Any suggestions?
