Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

I turned down a startup offer that effectively increased my total comp by 25%, included paying value of my ByB after one year and shares in the company. Was expecting more from EY this year as I absolutely killed it on all my ratings, utilization and Bd work. Ended up getting screwed and put as progressing. My fault for thinking EY would do right by me. Lesson learned
Messaging for months has been that the firm isn't likely to hit plan... Even in the service lines that hit plan, bonuses are driven a large part by the firms performance
I got a 39% bonus in EYP so…
🤷 typo what do you think I meant to say

When you look for a new job, you should define your own base+ variable pay expectations and not what your current employer is paying. Nobody will pay oversized base
Even EY’s business will bounce back at some point
It's not 90%, probably closer to 70% and that is not the norm going forward.
Also, our comp statements came out today so there are going to be a mix of good/bad feelings blackout. Not saying it's all roses over here but I'm happy with my results fwiw
Is there still a cash issue from the failed split? Or what is causing this
Some of that, some of missing target plan. Some areas are beating plan by quite a lot and others missing by quite a lot. Last year everyone got small bonuses and people were mad, this year if you got "meets expectations" or less, no bonus. EY doesn't give large bonuses in general though compared to base raises. I got a 6.5% Bonus with the highest rating
EY has always had bad PBB bonuses. Nothing new here
EY's bonus structure is comparatively smaller, although base pay is a little higher than other B4 (YMMV). In good years, our bonuses are okay. In less good years, they are lousy. No one loves a small bonus, or no bonus, but that's the result of having a so-so year. Hopefully, things are better next year. I think the 90% getting no bonus is off - amongst the people I have spoken with, it seems like closer to half (those with a rating of progressing).
