Good or bad time to head out on parental leave?

EY leave department hasn’t been the most helpful with the exact details around maternity leave - so just wondering for any EY mamas - how do we initiate getting the two weeks before due date off? Just a doctors note or ??? Thank you!!

You’re either not valuable to your company and/or your job isnt that important if you’re able to take PTO and not at least send some e-mails.

Will be resigning from D, as a USI landed resource. The PTO balance will be paid out but the payout will be in India bank act based on base there or will be based on US salary and on US account?

Does anyone know what the paternity leave allowance is for UKI? Regardless of what Shared Parental Leave. Just paternity leave only? I read on some policy its 2 weeks? Is this true? Mothers get 9months full pay and dads only 2 weeks? Can someone who has recently taken pat leave confirm please?

Curious to know what other avenues people have taken in our industry to make more money. Currently getting OT which is nice since most places don’t offer that benefit but still doesn’t feel like it’s worth the long nights when the paycheck comes in.

Had a miscarriage.. it’s my 1st baby and we didn’t find out until 12 weeks (via ultrasound) that the baby passed away at 9 weeks and had to get a dnc. My body is still recovering.. Just want some hope or I guess stories of success after having a miscarriage. I do have pcos so it’s harder for me to get pregnant.. but it still happened. Anyone have any thoughts or advice? Does it get better..?

I’ve been in a near constant depressive/anxious state for family reasons for the last year and half, and am soon having my first kid. I’m scared shitless that I’ll spiral out of control both at work and at home if something doesn’t change soon. Any suggestions on how to keep this job and keep it together?

How long due you need to be at an employer to be eligible for the family leave plan that is available for all Massachusetts employees as part of the Paid Family Medical Leave program ? I believe the PFML is applicable 2021 onwards

I’ve been with firms for 6 years. I struggle (not that I’m not intellectually capable of doing this job), I just hate the detail oriented nature of this industry. Everything gets scrutinized so carefully and most things I stayed up late for doesn’t matter.

I just got PIP talk and they are pushing me out next year. I’m kinda relieved. I want to leave law completely and be someone on the operation side. Eventually I want to be an COO.

How do I get there from here?
