soo my sleep schedule is effed up, i keep trying to wake up early-ish (7am) but i’m lacking motivation and i wake up tired 😴
i stumbled upon this article that talked about this book. we always hear about the “secret” of strong leaders is that they wake up early. has anyone read this/tried it out?

Yeah no question BCG. Don’t forget about the comp curve and promotion timeline. In five years from now at BCG could pull $100s thousands. Plus you can always go from BCG to KPMG. Tougher other way.

Depends on goals. If you are career obsessed, go to Boston without a thought.
If career is just one aspect of your life then consider whether you prefer being financially comfortable in Boston or able to afford more luxuries in Houston with your extra free time and less stress.
I had a similar decision to make and I chose a Tier 2 in London over MBB in TX. London is expensive and salaries are small by comparison but I really don’t like the heat and I prefer the culture and etiquette of London.
Most people on FB mindlessly echo the MBB mantra, but my life isn’t just about climbing the ladder so other factors weigh more heavily. If all you want is to climb the ladder then BCG is a no brainer. Otherwise choose the lifestyle, environment, and coworkers you prefer.
One thing I learned after joining consulting... You don't have to live in your assigned office city!
You are travelling anyways.. and can always pay up for hotel and/or flight for occasional Friday visits to your assigned office. And then you work to get your assigned office moved.. easy peasy
Think the long game - KPMG is fine, but BCG is head and shoulders above. Even if you are there for a couple years the resume will be impressive
You may be able to negotiate relocation and signing bonus with BCG. And you could try negotiating to come in as a consultant, but it’s unlikely you’ll be successful
I wouldn’t recommend trying to come as a C. The extra runway as a SR A is well worth the salary hit for a year if you want to maximize chance of making the PL promote.
BCG
Boston is a lot more fun as a city and MBB will open more doors in the future (which = more money). So, even if it’s not about the career to you (and money does seem important, so that may not even be correct), I’d go the BCG route. And you can afford Boston on what you’d be making.
If the issue is you want to be in Houston, you can always ask if they could switch your offer to BCG Houston. It’s a rapidly growing office, chances would be good.
Either city provides a certain lifestyle. Yet joining either firm likely kills your WLB (especially BCG). So, what's your priority?
I strongly disagree with the whole MBB=must be better mindset here. What do you value most @OP? What are your goals?
KPMG is changing it’s PTO policy, just fyi. But it’s still nice. Two weeks in winter off, now same for summer (as the other person mentioned). Although I don’t like being forced to take PTO at peek travel times. Anyway, both Boston and Houston are expensive, and it’s the same offer, so...BCG.
Might as well go with the better brand and benefits. You can always get hired later at KPMG, if you want.
