Living in Boulder and working in Denver is much easier commute than the opposite. If you’re working in Boulder, can’t afford to live in Boulder, and not all that interested in Denver, there’s suburbs in-between that have cool towns. Louisville and Arvada to name two. It all depends on where you’re working. It takes an honest hour to drive from Denver to Boulder during the morning commute. Oh, and Crispin really isn’t in Boulder. It’s in Gunbarrel. Which is 10-15 minutes past Boulder.
Honestly, both are good places to live, but id strongly recommend you live near your office. Yes it’s easier from Boulder to Denver but it still sucks. Also, as great as Boulder is, it’s pricey and a bit overrated. Boulderites don’t recognize this because they never leave the bubble.
There are a couple digital jobs posted at Integer
Check out Ogilvy too. At least 1 former digitas person. Denver office is 60-70% digital/UX/UI. Others to consider Spire Digital, Integer, and then several smaller (but still good) shops.
Boulder is great if you can afford it, Lower Highlands in Denver is the “cool”neighborhood at the moment.
Depends on where you are working. If you work in downtown Denver then a commute from boulder would be pretty long .
My struggle is I don’t currently have a job lined up.
I potentially might work remote at my current job until I find a new gig in town. Seems like the logical step is to rent short term and then go longer once I find my shop.
Digital Marketing Manager here if anybody wants to connect!
I'd suggest finding somewhere midway between Denver and Boulder on the highway 36 corridor, e.g. Arvada, Superior or Broomfield
