It's fine but probably lower than you're getting now unless you're in one of the higher COL areas of Canada
I live in Philly; I have a very, very nice 3BR in center city - all in payment is $3600/mo
$190k is good comp in Philly
Damn haha :/ I hunted and hunted for that cost lol that's why
That’s a solid comp for the Philly area. If you have a family and care about schools, space, etc. suggest looking at south Jersey. Short commute and good areas in cherry hill, haddonfield, voorhees, etc.
Need more info on the LTIP to properly assess
65k USD LTIP - most likely, part of negotiation
You’ll have a higher standard of living.
Where in Philadelphia area (you’ll save on housing)
Thank you, thts good intel.
Pro
What firm
The biggest and most important factor - what’s your YOE
YOE - 18+ lateral move
Same company ? I think if it’s the same company then you should have an internal benchmark already, and I don’t think it’s be too negotiable
Not same company, moving firms hence the negotiation
Moving from a higher COL area in Canada. I did a col comparison using https://www.expatistan.com/cost-of-living. Says I should be ok in the 185k range, but these things are not that accurate
Good intel, glassdoor tells me that I am in the right range though. I can be remote enough with a day a week showing up at office / client. So theoretically could be based out of the city in a low cost nice to live area
Depends where you move in Philly too. That kind of TC on the Main Line would put you bottom quartile
Seems u r joining EPAM...is that right?
Still negotiating a couple of offers in that area, NY and back home
What are the LTIP terms? Vesting period? Cash or equity? Increase over time? Performance or retention based?
Vesting period 4 years, performance based - pretty standard
Agreed that it'll differ by perspective. Just saying the obvious that cash has max upside until pocketed and because you don't pocket until after your 4 year vest, you lose that in time value
