Is it a career dead-end if I want to transition to a larger firm in the future? So many thoughts. You have to be emotionally and psychologically open to true collaboration before you can get better at it. Are they interested in getting better? Do they get why it's valuable?
One of the CDs gets it and is actively working towards improvement. The other CD, who is more Sr in title, has not shown openness to improving. I believe it’s part ego and part not wanting to show he’s incapable of leading. Upper management is asking me to find Art Director talent that can work with him, however he doesn’t respect their process and is not open to improving. This isn’t something that can be swept under the rug because it’s now actively hurting business. And fingers are being pointed at me since I resource for my team. How would you suggest I handle, either with him or upper management? Any thanks!
Well, you might tell whoever is asking you to find ADd who can work with him that they're better off just letting him go and hiring a team. Lol
iAD in Europe may be good. iAB here in the US out of NYC may be a conduit, not sure directly though. There are for sure some great courses and you may want to ask Marvel (a prototyping tool or people at Canva), many of these platforms are thriving on education to gain customers and build trust.
