My definition of success has evolved since I first got in. What does dominating in your field look like to you?

To me, ten years into my career path, I feel like "dominating" the field isn't even something I'm interested in. I want to do well and be paid well, I want to get along with my coworkers, I want to work hard but have sufficient time off. I'm much more interested these days in balance than dominance

Do you ever care about the awards? When did you have this switch

Making the work I want to make, making enough money to not worry about a whole lot. Unfortunately I am not dominating in my field.

What’s this lol

Mine has changed a lot too especially since starting a family. Rn, I feel like getting recognition from higher ups, getting thrown on pitches, and getting a few of your ideas made is success.

I used to think of it as all of the awards and promotions, but not many that deserve it are actually getting promoted unless you job hop. Trying to “dominate” honestly burned me out. Life balance is my new goal

Keep on keeping on!! Pick up side gigs if you can. I started with 50 too. But not La so I know that’s a tad bit more rough. You got this!! But they’re crazy for that though..

Just resigned!!! So happy to move on from the bad situations I was in at Deloitte. Going to a well established fintech startup. Almost doubling my base salary. So excited for something new!

Hey friends, I've been in sales for over ten years in retail/ hospitality.

I'm focusing my efforts to make a switch into tech sales and id like to work for AWS.

I completed a tech sales bootcamp and have purchased a couple books on sales methodology, more so enhancing sales + active listening skills.

If anybody would be willing to chat! I'd love more insight on roles Within AWS tech sales.

Care for a quick dm chat?

I think firm is gonna come back with an offer at the bottom of my given range. Any chance I can negotiate to the higher end of my range? I know I screwed up and should’ve started it higher

Almost always is a good rating or it is given to all generally in practice?

Hi-I have 120K in cash in HYSA. After keeping emergency fund aside. Still have 75-80K available that I plan to invest. After 401k, HSA, IRA and monthly expenses: we are left with 6K every month. So investing 12K every month in market. My worry is with that rate - it will take us 12-14 months to move the extra 75-80K mentioned above. However do not want to make a bulk move. Any advise how to plan the switch. At present have 60K invested in stocks. Thanks
