Is anyone else having difficulty when teaching pronouns now with non-binary terms? My students insist on the fact that Susan doesn’t have to be she it could be they. Answer key says she. How do we handle this?!?!
I feel like classroom management is harder for me than for others. I'm starting to think that it's because I am a male teaching in an elementary.
I am really worried and nervous about our future. The past four years have been so difficult in the classroom due to so many things regarding our jobs. Then, we have this awful political climate...
Any suggestions on science or social studies curriculum to use in a self-contained (setting 4) EBD classroom?
I have a flipped classroom and my biggest challenge today is that my high school students don’t slow down long enough to read the directions/ instructions/ deliverables. Anyone see this happening?
Hi! Welcome! What are your positions in an inclusion classroom? How’s it been going so far this year?

Hi there! I attended a virtual robotics workshop last week. I learned a lot and especially enjoyed connecting with others who were using robots in their classroom. I hope you join the discussion and we can find a way to support each other.
I am trying to build my quiet area in my classroom. I am having a hard time finding things that I feel are appropriate for this area during this pandemic. Does anyone have any suggestions? Please and thanks!!! :)
Working through Google's Certified Coaching program and reading Jennie Magiera's book, Courageous Edventures: Navigating Obstacles to Discover Classroom Innovation. Wow! Where has this been all my life?! Perhaps some ideas won't work, but Chapter 10 is full of incredible and transformative ideas!
Now that a vaccine is here the reality of going back to the classroom is getting closer to become a reality. I am wondering about how we can help the students begin to practice self management skills now before going back to the classroom. What are some things we can practice virtually that will be used in the classroom?
I am currently teaching while I also visit schools to help with classroom management. Here is some info about who sends me out to help schools just like yours. We are doing lots of online trainings to help getting back into the mind set of teaching in a classroom again. https://timetoteach.com/
Does anyone have suggestions on a Chromebook and draw pad compatible app that I could use for my online classes? I want to be able to watch my online students draw their graphs in Google meetings and submit their work on Google classroom.
Dropping this in a few bowls, sorry if you see it twice. I'm transitioning from teaching 8th grade mathematics at a public school to teaching a 7/8 self-contained classroom at a charter school. Any advice for teaching mixed grade levels or multi subject is appreciated: scheduling, classroom setup, subject order, behavior management, etc. I'm struggling to find my rhythm with only 6 weeks before kids return. Thanks to everyone for your commitment and time, enjoy your summer!

Folks from wealthy families, let's say household income of 400K+, what did your parents do? Do you aim to reach that same level?
I'm not a rich man, but is 250k a lot of money? Sure in some parts yes, but not in major cities. If u make that much on ur own, ur doing well. But it's not hard to make that with dual income. (Cont.)
Once upon a time, a young manchild sprinkled baby powder on his gelled hair to make it look 'sexier'. 😖 #randommondaythoughts
On the bench because the next engagement team didn't get the client to sign off on time. PML suggests i take PTO. Utilization tanked for no reason.
Partner just sent an internal email telling other partners that the client can pretty much fuck off for their absurd demands. Mad respect for PPED.
