My firm’s policy requires a minimum tenure in current role before interviewing and switching to another internal role. I’m in interview processes with other firms for the role I want, but would prefer to do that role at my firm. Is there a way to negotiate with HR about this? I understand I’d have more leverage with a final external offer. But I worry by then I’d not have time to secure internal offer by the time the external offer deadline comes. How would you approach? TIA

Can someone please for the love of god help me figure out how I can pay less income taxes? I only make 88k and I put the 12k standard deduction but I’m still getting taxed 27% of my paychecks! I just received a verbal offer as a program manager at vp level from a US BB in London. Unfortunately the number was a round down of my current pay.
