Hey, I have 4 YOE and currently a manager at PwC and have been managing teams for a little over a year now. My role mainly consists of leading teams of engineers deliver MVPs to our clients.
If I wanted to exit to Google or Facebook (Meta) what role would align for me? I was looking at engineering manager roles but unsure if that’s too senior for me.

One year in a top 4 accounting firm and trying to exit to software dev? Not as good as if you went to ant tech company
Top 4 what ?
Haha mbbd in effect!
Same boat as u have been applying around to get back into coding because I don’t like excel and outlook as much. Most people look at it as nice to have when looking towards promoting you to managerial positions down the line but the main emphasis is still your technical background and how well you perform in the technical assessment

This is funny on so many levels I can't stop laughing! Thanks for this 😂
OP - it’s big 4 (not top 4) bud

Vault bases their standings on surveys sent to consulting employees - the results are better viewed as a proxy for how large and well-known a brand is rather than how "good" or prestigious a firm is. They also heavily overindex their surveys on fresh grads (since that is who actually fills out those type of surveys) - those who know the least about the consulting industry are the same people whose opinions are primarily reflected in the results.
A perfect example of how a few expert opinions can be significantly more accurate than mass surveys targeted at the general population.
Do you have software dev experience or a technical degree?
