Hey Fishbowl community! I currently work as a Sales Support Specialist with 3 YOE working at a SaaS company. My dream career is to work at Microsoft or Google. I am open to different opportunities that exceed 80k+ per year. I also have a BA in Business Admin. If anyone can refer me to a great remote position I would greatly appreciate it! 😀

Similar situation. Also layering on the uncertainty of the job market right now, and trying not being trapped in an expensive 12 month lease and newly laid off (if that were to happen)
In the same boat but I’m gonna renew my lease
My building in west loop didn’t raise rates but currently negotiating a free month concession. Think the leverage is adequate
Which building is this? I’m looking to potentially move to west loop once my lease is up!
Negotiating a free month might be a good idea - that’s what I’m trying to avoid is continuing to pay rent while I’m not there
I'm moving next week, it's not that risky. Hire movers, pack yourself and wipe the boxes
That’s not the question

I’m about to renew too, is everyone’s rates staying the same or are they going up/down?
I contacted them and they counteroffered with a 2% raise. Much better but it still feels unethical.
In a similar boat but im planning on not renewing. my firm is OK with me wfh while the lockdown lasts, and they're OK with me staying another month or two past that if needed until I can buy / find a new place.
I’m in the same boat but I’d rather move within the city once than fully back home and fully back into an apt. Even if I’m not living there it’ll be nice to have a place should you need it
