My manager has asked us to take power down leave for 2 weeks. Problem is that the leaves are deducted from our leave balance. I had only 2 leaves. They forced us to take LWP. They are not even allowing to take advance leaves. Is it fair? They have not mentioned this in offer letter and they announced this power down in December month only. If they had told us earlier we could have save few more leaves.

I’m in an interesting dilemma. Very interested in leaving my company, but I am also going through IVF. I know most new jobs require a year wait before you can go on maternity leave. Has anyone heard or experienced going on maternity leave, then leaving shortly after returning? I'm hearing from my husband's company if he takes pat leave, and leaves shortly after returning, he'd have to repay the wages paid while out on leave. Is this only for pat leave and the person who gives birth wouldn't have to pay back as it's technically disability pay? Trying to weigh my options as I want to get out of my company, but want the mat leave first.
