What’s the best way to negotiate more money during a contract to FTE conversion? My manager and I had the conversion convo today and he said he’d like to convert me immediately and took the action item to do so. In terms of comp he said they should already have what I’m expecting but I don’t think I communicated any FTE number to my contracting company. In this job market with all the layoffs, should I count my blessings and take what I can get or is there wiggle room.

So, after a year of not so quietly making it known that I wanted to make the transition from the tech side to the business side I have officially been extended an offer to take on a Project Manager internally (coming from a software configurer). The client I have been assigned to has many of our products, however, the specific project I have been assigned to is a problem child and has damaged the companies relationship with the client. Any advice for a new, young PM being shoved into a problem?

Been working at my company as a new grad for almost a year, but don’t see myself in the team that I am in (working with Salesforce) for long term. Interested in frontend dev and have been learning on my own. Manager says chase doesnt have much React opportunities. Is it possible to make a switch when I barely have experience? Resigned from my job for blatant racism last week. Been a contingent worker for 6 months. The manager that recruited me unfortunately left after a couple weeks and went to another company. She however recommended me for the permanent opportunity to higher management. The acting manager came in, permanent role was posted, I applied, interviewed……manager told me they chose someone else external for the role.
