Honestly ask someone else who just went on leave or came back. They’ll have the most up to date information and you won’t feel like as much of a red flag to HR.
If you mention where you work on here, maybe someone can answer your question for you...
Maybe just shoot a general email to HR and not mention to your manager. Also Glassdoor sometimes has that info available. Usually its just 12 weeks mat leave😑
Ask for/look for a copy of all the company offered benefits - the maternity policy will be included in the overall benefits so that you can find out without asking directly.
Read about PFL or FMLA depending where you live. Look at your short-term disability benefits too. If your company doesn’t have any policies, you’ll at least get these 2.

Improved for the better. Good luck!
Your employee handbook should detail whatever maternity/parental leave you’re eligible for and if there’s a service requirement.
If not, I’d ask HR if they can point you toward any documentation of all benefits.
ETA: 12 weeks is pretty standard in advertising. My current company offers 18-20 which is nice but sadly rare.
