And will the Retention bonus will also be considered as taxable income of the the current year taxes(2022-23)?

I was just offered a CUNY role. The title is Higher Education Assistant. According to Glassdoor, the average annual pay for that role is $83,418. However, I was offered $62,500. I requested for the minimum annual salary to be 75k. Does anyone have experience navigating the CUNY system and their pay?

Yea that’s insane to do that without a salary increase. Mileage can be nice but no amount of mileage can equate to to wear and tear on your car
Absolutely not, especially at your salary. I know acceptable salary depends on location too, I'm not ignoring that, but employee stress and honestly risk factors matter too. Not only are you talking about driving as part of your job (I'm assuming your car insurance isn't through your company so there's that) but also doing home-visits for people with mental health conditions is risky in and of itself. The one reason I've never done home health- you never know what or who is in that house. ***The horror stories I've heard, good Lord ***
If you (and your employer) work for mental health, the additional mental stress you're taking on shouldn't be taken advantage of. For so long as this IS AN ASK, I'd say respectfully decline. If it's added responsibility without compensation... It's too HR, your director, or another job we go.
Good luck with your decision to respond.
