But Sapient already tried this. Many years ago they bought a creative agency called Nitro. They became Sapientnitro, the good creatives got frustrated and left and they just remained a big boring website agency
Yup, exactly. And sticking them into windowless offices. The way the work is set up kills every last bit of creativity (and will to live)
Ha! That sounds exactly like the McKinsey consult on my last agency job. Different “stages” of the “transformation” was named and more painful than the last.

I’m going to say something radical but there is so much red tape in a lot of agencies that it may feel more efficient. Agencies love to sell hierarchy and have tons of internal politics to get work done. From my limited experience, consultancies even large ones have better processes and prefer a team structure with better defined roles and responsibilities. Better resource management and they better police scope creep. But yeah, I mean creativity is not going to be king. And get ready to do your timesheets weekly if not daily!
At Accenture, even getting basic supplies like a working laptop or a headset is impossible - so much red tape, need several approvals. It can be super challenging to move fast or efficiently here

Agencies though kill the will of people everyday while paying you less than consulting firms. There is far less red tape on the consultancy side imo than the agency because you have more knowledge of the overall business than on the agency side
