Can anyone shed some light on quant funds please? https://groww.in/mutual-funds/escorts-tax-plan-direct-growth
I am seeing stellar returns and extremely low expense ratios but apparently since they're quantitatively managed algorithms, they don't account for things like corona for example.
Hello Fishes,
I have 12 years of BPS industry experience with almost 9 in TCS working in different roles and domains.
TCS has helped me grow a lot over these years in terms of acquiring business acumen and knowledge.
However financially I feel i am lagging behind and i am looking to take that big leap of faith.
I have heard this community supports each other, request you to please reach out to me, if you can really help me take that leap of faith. Accenture IBM EY Deloitte
How do you all deal with the guilt of leaving a comany/ team? I have been working at Microsoft for 1 year now, and seriously considering moving. I find the code base to be very legacy and I mostly work on obscure bugs that I spend so much time on, mostly due to navigating this large code base and not having much docs to refer to. Hence I find the job slightly unsatisfying, and that I could learn more elsewhere. However, I love the wlb, the team and company culture. The guilt stops my applying.

Today, I had students stand in the middle of the room. I put colored dots on their foreheads, enough for two groups with two leftovers. The leftovers were people with different colored dots. They were the outliers. I had them organize themselves into groups without talking.
We have been talking about inclusiveness and biases all semester. Since this is the last activity that I will have with them before exams, I wanted it to be impactful. I wanted them to realize that being left out feels bad, and that it only takes one person to welcome them into a group to make a change, that they have to be the change that they want to see.
They got it.

Wow! I love this. Do you think this idea would work for younger ages or how would you modify it for elementary/middle?

Back at work today after being out for two weeks. The student I work with the most said to me, I’m going to miss you. I looked at him and asked why is that, I’ll see you on Monday. He said you’re like my family and you haven’t been here for a long time and now you’re back from being sick and I’ll miss you.
What a gem!

💗 That’s the best. That’s the reminder of why we do this!
I ran into a former student who is now a senior in high school yesterday and he gave me three hugs! Made my day! 😁

So sweet! I bet you made his day too!
People told me that I couldn't teach Milton's "Paradise Lost" to the students in my high school; they would not be able to manage this level of material. However, I wrote my Master's thesis on this piece, so I have a certain specialized knowledge. I created a lesson plan that incorporated scaffolded excerpted materials, video background information, audio recordings of the excerpts, and group discussions. I told my students straight up that this was difficult material but that I believed in them and it would be worth it. And they delivered! It was a huge reminder to me that our students can achieve if we maintain high expectations.
