Can anyone shed some light on quant funds please? https://groww.in/mutual-funds/escorts-tax-plan-direct-growth
I am seeing stellar returns and extremely low expense ratios but apparently since they're quantitatively managed algorithms, they don't account for things like corona for example.

Now momentum investing is the theme working. So all quant focused mf's, small cases are having time of their life. Risk with momentum investing is to exit at right time. You can go for quant focused funds if you can track them and act as needed. Elss has lock-in period which hampers your flexibility in taking it when momentum themes is not working.
Go for generic quant funds if you want to ride the present momentum theme. Go with established names like axis long term equity for elss

Well said. First of all there is no guarantee in stock markets that what has worked in the past will continue to work (except index probably which just mimics overall country's performance in general). We are in super bill zone where every Tom Dick and Harry stock is hitting UCs so you got to know how these quant funds will do when markets start to tank. If you are capable to cut at the right moment then for sure ride the tide.

Stick to low expense ratio Direct Index Mutual funds via SIP route. In the long run they’ll outperform most others.

My fiancé and I are first time home buyers (both 28 yo) and would like to know what makes more sense: buying an expensive home or buying a lower cost one. Our combined income is around 400K but since we just began working post school, our savings are only $70K right now (also 30K in student loan debt). We’re buying in a high property tax state where taxes could be 4% (think 12K taxes on 600K home). Should we get a 500K house or get a 800K - 900K (which represents most I’m willing to spend)

Hi everyone! I’m a young professional right out of college getting into investing and personal finance management. Trying to better understand and educate myself on personal finance and investment strategies. Can someone recommend some recourses (books, podcasts, experts to follow, etc.) where it’s clearly explained for beginners? Trying to make sense of 401Ks, Roth IRAs, emergency funds etc.
Like I’m looking for someone like Dave Ramsey but for investment and money management advice.
