Got it, thanks. I was looking around the used market and there are 2017 and even 2018 XC90s with <10k miles and 20k+ cheaper. I like the idea of having someone else pay the depreciation
Great deal!!
Just got a Tahoe that will last forever
Used LX570!
Xc90 is siiiiiick
The VW Tiguan has a 3rd row but is 185” and has as much VW sportiness that you could expect in an SUV. Also the Infiniti QX60 for something more upscale but it’s right at 200"
The Audi Q7 and Volvo XC90 are pretty good with a decent 3rd row.
Had a Volvo XC60 rental this last week and was very impressed, definitely want to check out the XC90 because of it.
Basically Pilot or Atlas. They blow away everything else on that size range and the <$40k price point
I own a Ford Explorer sport. 365 hp twin turbo. With a third row. It will not let you down. The mdx is for losers and you’re right the qx60 is underwhelming. It also looks like a shoe. If performance and style is something you covet then test drive a Ford Explorer sport. It handles better than just about anything out there. It’s also a wide car so it’s nice and roomy. Pilot is boring. Haven’t checked out new atlas tho. The new model looks kinda kool. If I had the money I would consider the Durango srt.
My wife has a newer model Volvo XC90 and it's fantastic! Make sure you feel the leather in the Inscription model vs just the Momentum...its amazing. A built in booster is available which would be great for your 6 year old.
I have a Tesla Model X and it's the best car I've ever owned. I will never go back to internal combustion engine. You did say you would want to do American! If you use my referral code you'll get free unlimited supercharging.
Kia Sorento
Have an XC90 and wife has Acura MDX with 3rd row. Very happy with space in both
BMW X5 can have a third row but I heard that Toyota Highlander is actually 8 seater!with three seats in third row.
Look, no one is going to argue the practicality of a minivan but you will lose serious cool points. Like fanny pack status.
Acadia Limited has been good to me. It still has a trunk with the 3rd row up (unlike Pilot, Highlander) to carry stroller, sports equipment and all of the other kid stuff
If that's the case, senior lead, then buy. I was just thinking of minimizing the impact of the big depreciation hit of first couple years. Volvo will depreciate at higher rate than mdx
Just wanted to let everyone know we got the mdx hybrid on a killer lease deal and we love it. Kids are going nuts, wife and I love the pep of the thing. For a boat, it can move. And it actually is 0-60 in 5.7sec and gets in the high 20s mpg in the city, finishes are nice, tech is pretty good Feels like a combo of our old Lexus RX and the bmw. Thanks everyone for your help. It was fun driving everything and doing the analysis.
Got black hybrid with tech. We didn’t want captain seats cause that’s only a 6 seater. They have $2200 in lease rebates and the residual is really good. We got just over 500/month with 0 down. 36 month 10k/year.
I negotiated over text and was pretty sure it would be some catch when I went in to pick it up, but unless they tricked me and I didn’t realize it, they did the deal.
Note the 2019 is supposed to come out in a couple months, so I think they are trying to move the 2018s. I didn’t mind since it sounds like nothing much will change and we needed the car right away.
We have 6,4 and expecting another in a few months
