I can’t say enough nice things about Samira Ansari. She keeps falling up the ladder and when I worked with her she was one of the kindest humans in the agency. She’s also wicked smart, level headed, and really partners with other disciplines. She’s not some CCO that lives in Mars, she gets it.
She’s treats everyone with respect and gratitude no matter who you are and has a lot of integrity. Everyone could take a page from her book.
“Falling up” means someone who doesn’t deserve it. Sounds like she does.

“I’m always one for pushing brands where they haven’t gone before,” Ansari said. “I’m obsessed with TikTok and everything that happens in social media, so putting brands into people’s hands and pushing them into culture has always been the thing that I’ve tried to do.”
Fischer said that since arriving at Grey, she’s emphasized that every idea must be inherently social.

they want earned but they’re not willing to take the risks or invest enough to get earned.
She's a talented creative, but as a dept lead she's a culture killer. She absolutely destroyed morale at Ogilvy, which, also had other terrible people in leadership.
But she just wasn't a good leader. She rules by fear, and has fired people that clients absolutely love simply because they weren't cool enough for her. She also tends to spout boilerplate stuff to clients who see through it
Sami is goated
My take: she was dismissive of anyone who wouldn’t help her win at Cannes. It’s not really her fault. That’s what the job is. She also wasn’t a true leader who inspired people. I’m sure she worked hard with her favorites. But she literally never spoke to the department other than saying she had Cannesxiety. It was a big whatever. I hope she does well at Grey.
Working with a leader who is easy to understand makes it easier to improve work quality.
Wasn’t she at grey before?
