Welp! Finally got the axe today too. I didn’t even get to talk to my manager. One of the execs I support told me he’s very sorry and I was great, etc etc, but it couldn’t be avoided. Whatever. I kind of never want to work again. I’m heartbroken.

I will have next week the second interview with an exec recruiter for a company for a Director level position reporting to the COO of the company. Why is HCL delaying the offer letter?

I joined on 28th November and was told that the payroll team will contact me before 15th for payroll setup.

I have opened a new salary account with icici for gds but still have not been contacted by payroll team.

Will I get salary this month or will it be carried over to next month as my payroll is not setup and in orientation it was told that the cutoff date is 15th of every month.

If you could go back and start over would you still choose this path? Or would you choose a different career and/or a different time to have children? I accidentally became a working parent in law so while I love my job and my children I don't think I would have planned it quite like this.

Curious how others have been creating additional sources of revenue during these unfamiliar times. What are some ways that you or others currently do so? Do you have a lingering idea but have yet to follow through?

I've seen a few people setup a drop shipping business during COVID. Does anyone have experience doing this? Anybody have input on the matter?
