I've been exploring exit opportunities for a few months and still holding out for the right opportunity. However, I've had A LOT of recruiters reach out to me for positions that are way below my current salary. They do the whole "your background and expertise is exactly what we're looking for" then turn around and offer a salary range that is 20k below my current level. My resume clearly says I've got 10yrs experience and an MBA. I **don't think* I should be getting offers of 80k-100k

Hi all! Any one have an opinion for average rent for a studio in Oakland / Berkeley/ Sf for a ~30 min commute to Embarcadero area in SF? I’m evaluating a job offer and debating whether it’s worth moving out to there from NYC.

Anyone move from the bay side of the east bay to the 680 valley? We’ve been here for a year and are having a hard time adjusting to the weather and wondering if we’ll ever get used to it. We love getting outdoors but have felt like we’ve spent the better part of this summer inside just because of how hot it’s been. How do you keep up with the same level of activity with kids (running, cycling , hiking) while staying cool?

Best neighborhoods for mid twenties couple for a decent price? Would prefer to be near good restaurants and hopefully around other young people. New to SF so not sure how common this is but love buildings with a gym!

Considering a move from NYC to SF and my office will be in Palo Alto. Any advice on potential neighborhoods to live in without needing a car? SO and I (no kids) will be moving to Bay Area in early 2020 with a car. Both will be working in the Palo Alto / Mountain View Area. Better to just live where we work or possible to commute from SF?
