Married 1.5 years long distance. I took a job to be with him that pays twice what he earns now. I’ve been sharing every detail of my job hunt, interviews to salary negotiations. He has been very supportive but sometimes I feel guilty I’m rubbing it into his face and I have goals about going up the ladder fast, get/ experience the fanciest things and reaching a certain role/salary in life. I fear when I move in things may change, I’ll feel held back, may need to take low pay to feel we’re equal
Where is that salary survey spreadsheet? Help! Beginning negotiations, just want another data point for my own peace of mind
My cousin got into UC Berkeley undergrad for comp sci and I am incredibly proud of him. I wanted to gift him a MacBook. I wanted to understand if MacBook Pro 13 is good enough for comp sci folks or should I be looking at MacBook Pro 16?

I’m being promoted to Manager this November but recent got offer from a fintech. In money term the manager base pay is 5k greater than the new role but i’m negotiating to match the offer with my Manager salary. Should I wait until promoted or move asap? I dont want to continue working in external audit so trying to pivot to data analyst role/IA in the fintech before moving to full DA/DS position… but thinking the Manager promotion would help negotiate salary in the future.
Anybody work at Amazon? Are their offers negotiable? My husband got an offer for a senior position in the VA office paying $120k plus $20k bonus plus 13 shares of stock that vest over 4 years. My husband has ~6 years of experience (2 yrs midsize PA plus various industry roles) so the senior title is low but have heard you have to take a step down in title to work at Fortune 25 companies. He likes the offer but not sure if he should negotiate for more because it’s expected?
Got offered my dream job - but want the comp to be higher. How do I go about negotiating without being too aggressive? They offered 100k and the initial range they gave was 95-110

What are the titles at KPMG? How are the annual salary hikes and bonus at Manager level in FSO advisory NYC
What would you do: in discussion with a small agency to potentially work full time. They wanted to do a 60 day engagement first to see if its a good fit. Kick the tires from both parties makes sense. They asked for my rates and gave them an hourly freelance rate to where they asked if I’d be willing to do a rate that was based off my “future” un-guaranteed employment salary, less than $100/hr, which was less than half my freelance rate. Does this sound fishy? Am I wrong to be skeptical?
Have an interview next week for a role I’m supremely qualified for. Company just posted a job I’d like better and I have the skills for, but more of a stretch. How, if at all, do you broach with the recruiter? Both are director roles FWIW.
When it's Wednesday afternoon... and you're waiting for that "we'll contact you early next week" email after a potentially life changing interview ...AND EVERY SPAM EMAIL MAKES YOU WANT TO DIE.

Hey everyone, so my sister and her boyfriend have both gained about 60-70 pounds since COVID started. I’m getting very concerned for them and I’ve seen firsthand how they’re developed awful eating and drinking habits and they hardly ever exercise. I’m very concerned for them, but I have no idea how to talk about it with them and not make them angry or hurt. Any advice on how to have this difficult conversation?
Getting rid of my Platinum Delta SkyMiles AMEX. Spoke with Delta - it doesn't help my priority for upgrades unless I spend more than $25k on the card. Only Delta Reserve AMEX helps priority.
What are the general thoughts on automatic rebalancing of 401k? Good idea to maximize returns or better to pick some funds and stick to them?

I am watching the RNC convention after watching some of the DNC convention last week. They are opposite. It does seem to me that RNC is much less negative and alive. DNC was brutal & came across as fake due to the prerecorded events. If this convention continues like this I expect Trump to pick up a couple points. I prefer positive politics over negative from Biden.
