That seems very low to me especially with a $10m sales target. I've generally seen 20-30% of book for total comp.

like

10M in team sales or lead sales? Big difference

B4 first year partner benchmarks are irrelevant considering the ramp up after year 1 and those numbers are off anyway.

For a PE-backed boutique, better to compare to BDO, Grant Thornton, Baker Tilly, etc. as a benchmark. 300-450 is a realistic range for risk in mid-market.

like

What firm is this? Hard to sell risk in a boutique because who or what board in their right mind would buy risk from a non B4, risk services are already watered down on B4 and boutique has zero credibility and brand.

like

10m is an insane target for a new partner. Esp with 5m of that being lead sales.

I would expect a comp of at least 1m+ for that… only 350-450k? That is EM/AP comp in a strategy shop.

like

Agree with P1, seems very low. 10m should get you to at least 1-2m.

like

That’s insane with a $10M target unless your firm gives crazy multipliers or something on larger deals that can be split across multiple ppl and you’re already in close with a lot of those

Hi Fishes,

I am thinking to diverting my career towards freelancing in accounting.
For that I have to resign from my current job in Pwc. I am thinking of starting a job as accountant and work as a freelancer as part-time.

Any thoughts or advice?

Applied for a position in PWC UK and status shows as 'interviewin' on workday. Does this mean I'm selected for an Interview, or that the position itself is now in the interviewing process.

I am receiving emails for pending ITasset clearance.
Can it be possible after my LWD?

I've heard a couple of things about how the partner pension amount @ PwC is determined, both similar in approach.

Both calculations I have heard of result in an annuity paid until death, at which point a surviving spouse (if any) receives the annuity.

The first calculation I have heard is that you get 80% of your highest earning year as a partner (e.g. If your best year was $1M, you'd get $800k as an annuity).

The second calculation I have heard is that they look at your three highest earning years as a partner, and take the second highest and you get 100% of that. (e.g if your three highest earning years were $1M, $800k, and $1.2M, you'd receive $1M as an annuity).

Is ANY of this true, or just all rumor? Any PwC partners that can chime in and explain the pension plan fact for fact? Perhaps with sample numbers?
