I have accepted Infosys Offer Letter . If I am not joining Infy and joins another company, then is there anything like Infosys remembers it and will not consider in its Future Opportunities saying "You previously Didnt join our Organisation after accepting Offer Letter , So we are not considering your profile ahead " (Something like blacklist).
Has anybody accepted Infy Offer Letter and Have not joined ...and later got another Offer from Infy after say 6 months or 1 year and then Joined Infy ?

99% Of the time “overqualified” is ageism/you’re too expensive. In this day and age, I tell them that money is not the issue; being a part of a team and contributing is. I love what I do. And I’ll take a pay cut just to get the damn benefits.
Hang in there. I’ve got the same response. Too overqualified for an Account Director role. If the candidate determines that they are ok with a role, then I don’t believe overqualified comes into play. It just means they’re getting experience at a bargain.

It’s all about the salary in the end. Creatives over 40 need to realize that and get competitive with salary because agencies want adults but the financial pressure is real. It’s just the reality.
Well sorry to hear that. There could be a lot of reasons for not getting a job but probably best to just keep moving forward.
There are some smaller agencies like High Dive in Chicago that actually care about experience over age.
Ageism. For sure. Happen to me as well.
7 interviews. Ageism is rampant in advertising. Word has it they’re cleaning house at Ogilvy and other WPP shops in a few weeks under the cover of Covid to get rid of all the “old people!”

Most likely it’s salary. Could be ageism but if you made it through several rounds then it’s money. Had you all discussed compensation before you got cut?
Yes after the first two rounds of interviews I asked the recruiter and he gave me the general range and I told him I was totally fine with that, that there are so many other factors that come into play besides pure compensation, etc.. I don’t post this claiming that I am perfect for every job but this one stung.
Agencies have salary bands by role or tier, which more or less are determined by what they can sell / clients will pay for your labor by the hour. Is it fair for an employer to e.g. stop giving annual bumps (if such a thing will ever exist again), to someone who does a great job at the same tier for 15 years and would operate at a loss? Perhaps at a certain point, a person's comp should become more variable. Certainly not fair for a client or agency to harness an individual's labor / thinking / culture-contributioms and pay them less than the value they provide. Something has to give. Seems the industry is doomed if it can't figure out how to break out of: Experienced employees - can't live with them, can't live without them.
