Hey friends. My wife and I are looking to start investing in the market outside of our 401ks, hsa etc. We opened a Charles Schwab brokerage account and planning to transfer 2-3k/mo. I have created a program that has the ability to scrape and interpret press releases to identify how and when negative news will impact a stock price. Without getting into the details how do I take advantage of a 1-5% price decrease in a day without taking on too much risk. Simply buy a short term Put? What other positions can I employ to capitalize on the price decrease? I am worried about options volume and the order not filling fast enough.
Note: this is all done in a semi-supervised algo.
