I am deputed at the client office. I use PSL laptop only to check mails. But in my last appraisal my manager told me that I need to get 60 credit points for promotion. But due to client work load, i won't be able to do that. So, I have resigned from PSL mentioning the same that promotion will not happen.
But my manager told me that he will try to give me a promotion in next cycle (ignoring the credit points clause). He is asking me to withdraw resign
Shall I withdraw my resign? Persistent
Hey! PwC Deloitte Accenture EY KPMG MBA degree (if it really matters) 3 years in a smaller consulting company, 2 years leading Global and National expansion for two companies. 5 years working in banking and wealth management. Currently a Manager leading the wealth management strategy.
Currently in Georgia, open to relocation to Texas or New York if needed but would really appreciate guidance as well as a referral. Looking to make a pivot back into the industry I have a passion for.

Hello RSM coworkers! I am thrilled to be moving to RSM into a Scheduler roll. I just found out yesterday and want to be as prepared as possible in the next steps.
So here are my questions.
How long does the background study take? I'm guessing admin staff have a study that is faster and less complicated than someone in Tax ect.
When training at home what did you need that wasn't supplied by RSM? My home office is well stocked but I want to be as prepared as possible.
Thanks in advance!

@a1 someone is bitter this morning. I'm very happy with the strategy work KPMG has given me. I'm not an Ivy League MBBer but I don't get butt hurt by haters like you.
@a1 thanks for the intro. I did a part-time MBA when I was working in industry to make the switch to consulting. Saw a 30% increase in pay and probably a 30% increase in the amount of work I do. OCR is how I got here.
Yeah. People with shit middle management jobs who went to less shit middle management jobs. It only makes sense if the company pays for it.
Were you in a shit middle management job? Are you in middle management at a second tier consulting firm? I rest my case.
I was in industry in a purely technical role. Did a part time exec mba and OCR got me to consulting.
Went from Industry to Consulting via Part Time MBA program at a legit school. It's not like anyone needs to know you went part time. Worked out for me, especially since I didn't want to do strategy work anyway. It's all about what you want to do with it. Having my employer pay for a $100K MBA was clearly the no brainer for me.
@A1, did part time as well. Paid out of pocket and was worth it. OCR existed and was leveraged.
Acc1 and who are you? And yes, good friends of mine did part time MBA at places like Santa Clara or Berkeley. Consulting partners, evps at tech firms and so on. Not a bad way to go if you are in the right place, go for the right reason, have a plan.
If you do emba while in consulting you can use it as a bargaining chip to close any salary gap that may exists between you and your MBA counter parts. Having them pay for it and then having them adjust your salary is the best way to go.
